Solrød Karate Klub and Karate Association Denmark are proud to invite you to the 1st Solrød Karate Open which will take place on the
22nd of June 2013
The tournament is open for all organizations and styles, and we will have class from children to master. The Kata competition will be divided into main styles (Shotokan, Goju, Wado, Shito, Kyokushin and other styles) if possible.
This is the first Solrød Karate Open and the tournament will be organized in a pragmatic way with the aim to make everybody feel welcome and give the athletes a good experience. The aim is to grow Solrod Karate Open to a large international tournament during the years to come.
The price is 20 EUR per class to compete in.

The directors reserve the right to combine classes if there are less than 4 competitors in a class. However we strive to follow the WUKF classes for both Kumite and Kata.

Rules
The tournament will be conducted under the WUKF rules with some minor deviations
Safety equipment:
It is not mandatory for kids (Shobu Nihon) to wear face mask. If no face mask is worn then the tooth protector is mandatory.
Chest protection is not mandatory
We allow competitors to enter both Shobu Ippon AND Shobu Sanbon.

Referees
We encourage each federation to bring referees trained in the WUKF rules to the tournament to ensure a high quality of the competition.
Chief Referee of the tournament
We are pleased to announce that Mr. Sever Cucu, WUKF Romania will be the Chief Referee of the tournament. Sever Cucu has a long experience in running tournaments and he has successfully ran the WUKF World Championships for years.
